The Motorola Moto G4 and G4 Plus are just a few hours away from their official unveiling, but looks like there's no stopping the leaks related to the devices.
Moto G4 series is set to launch in India today, and based on the press leaks we’ve seen so far, Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus are two versions of the smartphone that the company is expected to showcase, though we’ll have to see if both are launched in India today.
Last week, press images of Moto G4 were leaked on Twitter by well-known tipster Evan Blass. Blass’ account has also put out image renders of the upcoming Moto X and the Moto G4 Plus.
Leaked images show that the Moto G4 Plus has a more rectangular home-button, which could possibly come with a fingerprint scanner in it. The textured back appears to be gone in the new Moto G4 design. The Moto G4 looks set to come with a better camera, and improved battery life, according to tweets from the company. It could also feature support for NFC.
A Geekbench listing has also leaked full specs of the Moto G4 device, and claims it will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm chipset (presumably Snapdragon 617), 3GB RAM and will run the latest Android 6.0.1 OS. Moto G4 is expected to feature a 5.5-inch Full HD display.
For Moto, which has undergo a re-branding exercise this year, the G4 is an important smartphone. As a mid-budget device it has done exceptionally well in India, offering a solid performance and specs.
