Huawei has officially launched the eagerly anticipated new model, the Honor 5X in China for 999 Yuan (approximately Rs. 10,200). The device sports a fingerprint sensor placed on the rear of the device. The low price tag makes the Honor 5X the most affordable smartphone with a fingerprint sensor by Huawei.
The Honor 5X is armed with far better specs compared to the predecessor, the Honor 4X which came with entry-level specs. The Honor 5X is a decent mid-range phone spec-wise. A 5.5-inch display with 1080p resolution and powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 616 octa-core processor along with Adreno 405 GPU, it is too good for the price. It also comes with 16GB of internal storage along with a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 128GB.
The 2nd Gen fingerprint sensor is impressive and can unlock your device in just 0.4 sec. A 13MP rear camera with dual LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls add to the desirability. It also comes with ‘Food Mode’ that was first introduced in the recently in Honor 7.
The 3,000mAh battery is also a plus and with Quick Charge 3.0 support can charge 50% battery in just 30 minutes. The device supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE Connectivity on both the SIM’s. There are two variants; one with 2GB and the other with 3GB RAM which will cost approximately Rs. 14,300.
